Are You A MOP (Mother Of Preschooler)?

If you have children, newborn to kindergarten, MOPS is for you! MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom--urban and suburban moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms--moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

Each MOPS meeting offers social time, learning time, discussion groups and creative activities for mothers while children are cared for by loving caregivers. If you're a mom looking for support, encouragement and fun, join us, your Mankato MOPS group.

If you're uncertain about MOPS, come and visit one meeting--there are no fees at your first visit.

Children's Program (MOPPETS) and Well Child Policy

While you are at MOPS, your child will be having fun in MOPPETS, watched by dedicated childcare workers! MOPPETS opens at 8:45 a.m.

Well Child Policy:

2012-2013 MOPS Theme: Plunge

MOPS invites you to join in the learning process as together we explore Plunge, love as if your life depended on it.

The emphasis of this year's theme is relationships and hope.  MOPS communicates a message of hope and creates an atmosphere of supportive relationships that moms need to survive a world of constant change.  Taking the plunge in relationships is being authentic and going deeper.  In our MOPS groups, relationships offer hope to moms, especially as moms go deeper and take risks to create authentic community.  All facets of relationships can be strengthened through taking risks, going deeper and showing authentic love-- neighborhood, friendships, marriages, extended families, the world around us and ultimately relationship with God.  Throughout the year, groups will focus content on these different types of relationships and equip moms to be relationally healthy and thriving.

Verse: 1 Peter 4:8-11 (The Message)
Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it.  Love makes up for practically anything.  Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless--cheerfully.  Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it; if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help.  That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything--encores to the end of time.  Oh, yes!

Iron-Ons, Stickies, Bag Tags, Allergy Alert labels & more! Personalize your labels with names, nicknames, initials-whatever you choose.  Cool icons help even little ones identify their own belongings. Dishwasher, microwave, laundry & kid tested! Dispatched within 24 hours! Visit http://www.mankatomops.mabelslabels.com/ to place your order while helping our fundraiser!

About Mabel's Labels!

We are moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left our houses, never to return. After lots of research and testing we created the perfect fun, durable labels for the stuff kids lose!

Our sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, are not only practical, but also designed to be very special to each child. The labels are customized with a child's name, favorite mix of colors and an icon (animal, symbol, etc.). We have also expanded our product line to include personalized stationery products, ID wristbands and household labels.

We strive to continuously design innovative labels for babies, kids and grown-ups alike. You'll be amazed at what you can label!

Fundraiser: Kwik Trip Scrip Gift Cards

For every Kwik Trip Gas card that is purchased, MOPS receives 10% of the cost of the card. The cards are available in various denominations (from $5 to $500) and can be used at the pumps or for any in-store purchases in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. You can also ask your friends and family to purchase cards. There is a sign-up sheet on the fundraising table at every meeting.  We ask that you pay for your cards when ordering.  We place orders the 25th of each month. You will then receive your cards at the first meeting of the month. This fundraiser will be available throughout the year.

Sample:
Family gas budget for the month of October: $300
Family, friends, and neighbors purchased: $200
Total amount purchased: $500
Amount Mankato MOPS receives: $50

For perspective, if 30 moms bought/sold  $200/month, at the end of this year, we’d make $6000 from this fundraiser alone!!  The past couple years, our “big” spring fundraiser brought in about $4000.  We are not asking you to purchase anything “extra” just use these cards for your usual gas budget and whatever else you may buy here.  There’s no markup—kwik trip is the one “losing” here as they pay us 10%!!  As an extra incentive, whoever sells the highest dollar amount by our last meeting in December will win free spring semester tuition.
